The latest updates state how there are chances of severe thunderstorms in different places in the USA. The latest reports indicate that a storm might shift over the central US and eastern US. In between all the news of likely storms and thunderstorms hitting different cities in America, the update is that the harsh phases are supposed to continue till November 21 only. On November 22, a day before Thanksgiving,  the power of the storms and thunderstorms will start decreasing.

While storms are expected to be calming down, there are chances of rainfall as well. Predictions state that rainfall may start from Atlanta to Washington DC and New York City as well, according to a report by Hindustan Times. Northern New York might go through freezing rain too. In between all the storms, thunderstorms, rainfall, and sleet in different cities in the US, Thursday is expected to be a bit drier than the past couple of days.

The NOAA has also shared some weather updates ahead of Thanksgiving. The report stated that the high temperatures will be somewhere in an average range of 10 to 20 degrees below the usual temperature in the Central and Southern Plains. The weather is expected to be quite cold in most places. When it comes to locations in the Northwest, the temperatures are going to be gentle mostly.

More than 55 million passengers will travel to different destinations to celebrate the holiday. This huge number of footfall will be seen from November 22 to November 26. According to AAA, they will fly a minimum of 50 miles to reach their desired locations, as per a report by The Independent. Almost 50,000 flights are providing services all throughout today for these passengers.

There are tons of travel plans for millions of travellers. Unfortunately, poor weather conditions might become a major obstacle between all these travel diaries. If the flights get postponed, cancelled, or delayed, they can get compensation. Pete Buttigieg, the Secretary of the Department of Transportation Secretary, talked about the rights of passengers with them.

Expenses for meals, rebooking flight tickets, and more such necessary services will be taken care of, as Pete shared. Not just services and amenities, passengers are eligible to get a full refund if an airline cancels the flight altogether. Do not worry much if your travel plans get affected as the Department of Transportation will look into the solutions.
