Auli is a true gem in Uttarakhand, often referred to as the skiing paradise in India. The destination is dressed in thick snow during winters and offers views of some of the highest peaks on the earth like Nanda Devi and Kamet. Auli is also home to the Nanda Devi National Park which is inhabited by majestic animals like snow leopard, musk deer and wild boar. It is a dream destination for adventure seekers and allows skiing through the Himalayas. Now, the government is planning to renovate Auli to make it an international winter sports destination.

The Auli Revamp Plan Is Nearing Its Final Stages

According to a Times Travel report, Uttarakhand Chief Secretary SS Sandhu has notified that a master plan to revamp Auli into an international sports destination is nearing its final stages already. The government is working closely with the tourism department, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police and the Indian Army to begin the development process.
