And if you are missing Thailand way too much, then we have good news for you. Well, Thailand has announced its plans to fully reopen for vaccinated travellers by mid-October this year and here’s everything you must know about it.

PM Prayuth Chan-Ocha  Introduces Plans To Allow Fully Vaccinated Travellers To Visit Thailand Quarantine-free

Thailand aims to welcome fully vaccinated travellers soon, and speaking about this, Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Ocha said as per the reports in AP,

“I know this decision comes with some risk because, when we open the country, there will be an increase in infections, no matter how good our precautions. But I think when we take into consideration the economic needs of the people, the time has come for us to take that calculated risk.”

At Present, People Visiting The Country Have To Quarantine For Seven Days

PM Prayuth further introduced plans to allow fully vaccinated passengers and returning Thai citizens into the country “without quarantine or other inconvenient restrictions” within 120 days. It means that vaccinated UAE-ites will soon be able to travel to Thailand. At present, foreigners visiting the Thai nation has to quarantine for seven days.

In terms of covid, Thailand has so far confirmed 204,595 and 1,525 deaths. Around 7 per cent of its population has received at least one dose of vaccine. PM Prayuth has also mentioned that Thailand has procured more vaccines, and by early October, at least 50 million people should have received at least their first shot.

For Thailand, from July, under a trial scheme, vaccinated travellers will be allowed to visit Phuket without a mandatory quarantine period. However, travellers will be required to stay in Phuket for at least 14 days before heading to mainland Thailand.

Thailand’s reopening plans have changed multiple times in the past, and we hope that it opens for travellers soon.
