Varun Dhawan Has Been Granted The UAE Golden Visa & Here’s Everything To Know

Varun Dhawan is the latest person to be granted a golden visa in the United Arab Emirates. The Bollywood star shared a snapshot of the award on his Instagram Story, thanking the government for the honour. Dhawan stated that the UAE is a fantastic location for filming, as he has already shot several films there. He went on to express his gratitude to the UAE government for this honour.

Several of the star’s Bollywood projects were shot in the United Arab Emirates. ‘Dishoom,’ a 2016 action-comedy, is one of them. In Abu Dhabi, the film was largely shot. The dancing film ‘Street Dancer 3D’ (2020) by Remo D’Souza was also shot in Dubai. Bollywood Parks are among them. Meanwhile, his film ‘October,’ which he directed in 2018, had its international debut in Dubai. Several of the actor’s Bollywood projects have been promoted in the UAE over the years. Dhawan, who is now promoting his films ‘Jug Jug Jeeyo’ and ‘Bhediya,’ is the most recent Indian celebrity to receive the golden visa honour.

Famous Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor celebrated his 66th birthday in Dubai this month and was honoured with the UAE golden visa. Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, as well as their daughters, were all there to obtain their 10-year visas. At the time, Boney also said that his two elder children, Arjun and Anshula Kapoor, had received their visas.

Farah Khan, a choreographer turned filmmaker, obtained her UAE golden visa earlier this month at Expo 2020 Dubai. Major General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, director-general of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), Dubai, granted popular Indian playback singer KS Chithra a 10-year visa in October.

A number of Indian superstars, including Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, singer Sonu Nigam, Neha Kakkar, and South Indian icons Mohanlal, Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, and Prithviraj, have been granted golden visas by the UAE.
