Although most of Sex Education was shot in Wales, the fictional town of Moordale serves as its setting. The Chalet is located in the English community of Symonds Yat, which is in Wye Valley, Herefordshire. The owner of the property shared an Instagram post regarding the sale of the property. It read that they had decided to put the property on sale after possession of 21 years.
The remote mansion, a 100-year-old Norwegian timber home with panoramic views that can only be reached by a wooded driveway, was constructed on a mountainside 500 feet above the river. The Norwegian-style Chalet was constructed in 1912 as a salmon fishing lodge. When it was originally displayed in London at the Ideal Homes exhibition that same year, the then-owner saw it and bought it.

The Interiors Provide Cosy & Welcoming Atmosphere
The lodging is set up over three stories, and the exceptionally well-kept interior provides a delightful, cosy, welcoming, and comfortable atmosphere. All of the main rooms have beautiful vistas, and they are structured around a central hall and gallery landing. Three of the four bedrooms on the first level have access to balconies, and there are French windows on the ground floor leading to covered balconies.
The bedroom suite on the second floor is particularly lovely, featuring vaulted ceilings, a separate sitting area, and an en-suite bathroom with views of the River Wye. The rooms are all well-proportioned and have high ceilings. Your eyes are pulled to the stunning surroundings without a doubt. It is a genuinely magical place with tons of personality and charm.
The Chalet can be reached through its woodland and along a very long drive that goes in and out, ensuring the solitude of the property. The drive leads to a detached wood single garage, a detached wood open-faced carport, and adjacent log stores. Beyond that is a parking place for several cars.

To get to the front of the house, there are steps and a pathway that has an arch covered in honeysuckle.
