Some UAE residents, as mentioned in a report by Khaleej Times have found a quick hack for surpassing the wait time for the US Visa. Well, for this purpose they are applying from the neighbouring countries! Yes, as the residents in the UAE have to wait for at least a year before they can get their appointments due to the large number of applications, travel agents have revealed that many are applying from neighbouring countries. For instance, some are choosing to apply for this visa from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia instead of the UAE.

However, it’s worth mentioning that this is not a new phenomenon. Previously, a thread on Reddit gained traction from people who were looking to apply for a US Visa, about two years ago. In the thread, several people revealed that the only hack for a fast service appointment is to apply from another country. However, they will have to explain why they are applying from another country instead of from their home country.
But it should be noted at this point that this phenomenon is not just limited to the UAE. People around the world who wish to travel to the US have to wait for a long time using this trick. A viral post on X formally Twitter by Georges Janin revealed how he got his Colombian wife USA Visa. Yes, in a lengthy thread, he mentions that countries like Lisbon and Portugal have a shorter wait time so you can apply for the visa through the consulate offices in these countries. He does however recommend heading to Portugal first. Ever since this post on May 14, it has gained 104.4 K impressions with several comments asking about the details relating to the process.
