Watch: Water Spews Out Of New York High Rise Window; Netizens Joke, “Is The Building Pissing?”

The last thing you’d expect to see from a high-rise building window is a fountain. Residents of a New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen neighbourhood were baffled to witness water flowing on the streets from above. No, it wasn’t rain that residents were expecting amid the cloudy skies, but, gallons of water spewing from a window in the high rise. Read on to know what happened.

Water Flows From New York High Rise Window

As per a report by the WNBC, the Fire Department of New York received a call at 12:15 pm on April 4. The call informed about a water leak from a high rise at Eighth Avenue and West 42nd Street. It wasn’t a dribbling leak. Rather, a powerful geyser spewing out of the side. Locals posted videos on the Citizen app to prove the seriousness of the issue. Gallons of water flowed down from the building’s window. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

Preliminary reports cited a pipe burst to be the reason for the water leak. Later, a spokesperson of the building’s developer stated to NBC that the developer was already on the scene as part of routine testing. The spokesperson informed that they were conducting a fire pump testing. And the area on the ground was sealed. The Fire Department New York (FDNY) responded to the water leak and capped the leak. There were no injuries reported.
