With the odd-even scheme in place and the AQI levels falling down, it seems like the pollution in Delhi is coming under control. However, to be on a safe side (read: to find another excuse to travel), we have selected 5 beautiful cottages in the hills that you can escape to.

The best part, most of them are at locations that you might end up travelling to for the first time. What could be better than a cozy set-up and clean air?

1. The Loft In The Hills

Having an entire penthouse to yourself in Shimla, how does that sound? Brilliant! This loft has two bedrooms and has a 270 degree view of the Shivalik range. But that’s not it! 2. The Apple Farm Stay

Located in Kullu, this beautiful cottage has one bedroom and can accommodate upto 3 people. Made in the traditional way with stones and wood, that are interlocked and then plastered with mud, it makes for a cozy and comfortable stay. Comfortable couches, a fireplace, wooden interiors, it has all. While the place might give you an ol’ school kind of look, it has all the modern amenities that one can ask for. 4. Oakwood Cottage

Surrounded by cedar and pines, this luxurious cottage is in the middle of an apple orchard. Located in the small town of Cheog, in Himachal Pradesh, this beautiful cottage is a sight for sore eyes. It has 2 rooms and can accommodate upto 4 guests. The architecture is inspired by the local mountain culture and is built in order to make sure that those visiting or staying here are completely at ease. 5. Misty Attic

Mashobra is a small town in Himachal. It is a beautiful tourist spot but does not get much attention from travellers. It’s their loss. There is a beautiful attic which has 3 bedrooms and a has mystical view of the mountains. A private terrace and cozy wooden apartment, what more do you need? To make sure that the guests are comfortable, the hosts provides them facilities of a cook, caretaker and maid. While they have television with a dish connection as well, but nothing will be able to match the surrounding views.
