Grand preparations are going on ahead of the pran-pratistha ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Devotees are waiting for January 22 and the spectacular inauguration of the holy shrine. From Ayodhya to different parts of India to even abroad, different places are organising and working hard for the much-awaited day. The iconic temple is getting decked up with the most beautiful things, be it a massive 2,400 kg bell or golden gates, the decorations are going on in full swing.

Chandannagar’s Lighting Will Decorate Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir

Chandannagar is a famous city in the Hooghly district of West Bengal. Rich in history, one of the significant and popular facts about the city is its extravagant and outstanding lighting. To decorate the premises of the Ram Mandir, glorious lights from this city will be used. It won’t be exaggerating at all to say that Chandannagar is synonymous with its widely-famous lights and the magical creations with them.

Manoj Saha is an electric worker from this city in West Bengal and he has some major responsibilities to work for the temple. In a conversation with News18, he shared how about 75 people from Chandannagar have reached Ayodhya to begin working on illuminating the temple premises. Saha talked about how he is honoured to be doing something so significant and could not sleep for the past 2 weeks as it is such a grand opportunity. It was last week when he received the confirmation of this order.

Lakhs of devotees rush to Chandannagar to witness the glory of the lighting during the Jagadhatri Puja celebrations. Creating magical art with lights is its specialty and its dominance is famous widely. From Kolkata’s Durga Puja decor to the iconic Christmas lights in Park Street, the former French colony is the first name that comes to our minds when it comes to extravagant lights illuminating festivals.

How Will They Decorate The Temple?

The next few days are going to see the temple and its premises transforming into vibrant sights with the famous lights of Chandannagar. There will be a light gate displaying Ram Tilak and surely will be one of the biggest attractions. Next, there will be iron structures to be decorated with lights, according to a report by News18. The artists will also decorate a long 10 km road inside the temple.
