2018 Annual Airfare Study reveals the right time to book flight tickets. The website CheapAir.com has analysed over 917 million airfares in more than 8,000 markets in its 2018 Annual Airfare Study.

What’s In It?
The study shows that the best time period for booking any domestic flight should be 70 days well in advance. For winters, 62 days in advance, Spring season makes for 90 days in advance, Summer is 47 days in advance and Fall is 69 days in advance.
For holiday seasons like Christmas and New Year’s, you can get good deals and book your air tickets 62 days in advance. For summer is the busiest season for most who are planning on vacations in July, the lowest fares are available in August and September.
The booking window is cheaper 4-5 months in prior along with a wider selection of flights and fares. Also, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the cheapest days to fly in the week while Weekends are rather expensive.
