According to the reports, there have been rumours about Dua Lipa performing at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad for the India vs Australia match. At Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, India will play Australia in the 2023 ODI World Cup final on Sunday. In addition to the thrilling match between two evenly matched sides on the pitch, there is also a lot of excitement building off the pitch as rumours of a potential closing ceremony on Sunday including Albanian singer and songwriter Dua Lipa are starting to circulate.

Prior to this, the singer sang at other important athletic events, such as the 2018 Champions League final in Kyiv, Ukraine. Before the tournament’s first semifinal, the singer, interestingly, participated in a Q&A session with the host broadcaster and was heard responding to inquiries from cricket players from New Zealand and India.

Since 2011, when India won the title at home for the second time, they have not advanced to the World Cup final. Following victories over Australia, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka in the semifinals and championship match, respectively, MS Dhoni and the team raised the trophy.

In recent ICC tournament knockout matches and finals, New Zealand posed a serious threat to India. India lost to New Zealand in the World Cup semi-final held in England in 2019. In the ICC World Test Championship final in 2021, India was defeated by the Black Caps as well.
