With the ever-improving and growing aerial connectivity in tier-two cities, finding direct flights has become quite easy. Adding to this ease, Akasa Air has commenced weekly direct flights to and from Gwalior to major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad. These flights started operations on February 27 and have a weekly schedule. Read on to know more about this new route.
Direct Flights From Gwalior To Major Cities Like Mumbai & Bengaluru
In its bid to strengthen India’s air transportation system, Akasa Air has been growing its domestic network quite rapidly. They commenced weekly direct flights between Gwalior and Mumbai and one-stop weekly connecting flights between Gwalior and Bengaluru on February 27. They also launched flights connecting Gwalior to Ahmedabad on February 1. With this, Akasa Air now connects Gwalior to three major Indian cities – Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Bengaluru

This new route is another step towards Akasa Air’s aim of connecting major metro cities with Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India. Since it began operations in August 2022, Akasa Air has connected 21 cities. These include Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Port Blair, Ayodhya, Gwalior, Srinagar, and Doha (Qatar).

Akasa Air’s Schedule On This New Route Connecting Gwalior
As for now, the direct to and from Gwalior to Mumbai and Bengaluru is operational on Tuesdays. The flight will depart from Mumbai at 12:10 PM and reach Gwalior at 2 PM. Meanwhile, the connecting flight from Bengaluru departs at 8:05 AM, takes a pitstop in Mumbai, and finally lands in Gwalior at 2 PM. If you’re planning to fly out of Gwalior, then the flight departs from the Gwalior Airport at 2:40 PM every Tuesday for Mumbai and Bengaluru.
If you’re planning to go to Ahmedabad from Gwalior, then weekly flights are operational on Mondays. The Akasa Air flight departs from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 10:55 AM and lands at Gwalior Airport at 12:45 PM.
From Gwalior, the flight takes off at 1:20 PM and lands in Ahmedabad at 2:50 PM.
