The Indian Ministry of Railways took to social media and shared few pictures of India’s only hospital train called the ‘Lifeline Express’ currently stationed in Badarpur, Assam. The hospital train comes as a great help for patients who live in the country’s remote areas and cannot reach the cities for treatment. The Hospital Train Has Two Operation Theatres
The hospital train Lifeline Express is also known as the Jeevan Rekha Express and was set up in 1991. It has been equipped with all the necessary facilities, including two modern operation theatres and five operating tables.
The Hospital Train Is Treating Patients For Free
The hospital train which is currently stationed in Badarpur station in Assam and the hospital train is treating patients free of cost. The hospital train treats patients across the country, mainly from far-flung and remote areas under the government’s flagship programme.
This initiative will help medical facilities reach out to the masses.
