1. World’s Longest Railway Platform
The world’s longest railway platform is actually nestled in India. Perched in Hubbali in Karnataka, the Shree Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Station is home to platform 8 —the longest in the world. Spanning 1507m Platform No. 8 in Hubbali station made it to the prestigious Guinness Book of World Records.

2. World’s Biggest Cricket Stadium
The cricket-crazy country, India had to have the world’s biggest cricket stadium. The Narendra Modi Stadium or formerly known as the Motera stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is the biggest cricket stadium in the world. It can accommodate 1,32,000 spectators and is spread over 63 acres.
3. World’s Highest Altitude Rail Bridge
Jammu and Kashmir is home to the most beautiful and ethereal bridge in India and the world — Chenab Bridge. But what makes this bridge even more fascinating is that it is the world’s highest-altitude railway bridge. Sitting 359m above the river bed, the Chenab Bridge is actually 35m taller than even the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

4. World’s Highest & Asia’s Longest Tunnel
Zojila Pass, a mountain pass in the Himalayas spanning 14.15 km, built at an altitude of 11,578 feet, is the world’s highest and Asia’s longest tunnel. Despite the challenging geographical conditions in the Himalayas, this mountain pass boosts connectivity between the Kashmir Valley, the Dras and the Suru valleys.

5. World’s Tallest Statue
India houses the world’s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity, in Kevadia, Gujarat. The majestic statue of India’s first deputy Prime Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel sits at a height of 182 metres. In no time, the Statue of Unity became the world’s most popular monument welcoming more visitors than even the Statue of Liberty.
6. World’s Longest Highway Tunnel
Named after the former Prime Minister of India, then late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Atal Tunnel is the world’s longest highway tunnel. It is located at a height of 10,000 feet above sea level. Atal Tunnel rests on the Leh-Manali Highway in Himachal Pradesh. The 9.02km long tunnel is the highest highway single-tube tunnel and the world’s longest highway tunnel.

7. World’s Largest Floating Solar Plant
The world’s largest floating solar plant is built over Omkareshwar Dam in Madhya Pradesh. Generating 600 Megawatt power, this solar plant is built at an estimated cost of ₹3000 crores. This is indeed something to be proud of as India inches to an environment-friendly and sustainable future.
