Emirates, the largest airline in the Middle East, has set new standards of excellence! Recently, the airline won two major awards for in-flight entertainment and premium economy. Moreover, Emirates has ranked 5th among the World’s best airlines 2024!
World’s Best Airlines: Emirates Ranks 5th!
The biggest airline in the world was awarded for both Best Premium Economy and Best In-Flight Entertainment. Further, it ranked 5th in the list of the top 25 airlines at the annual AirlineRatings.com Airline Excellence Awards for 2024. For its ICE system, Emirates has received Best IFE for nine years running. In the early 1990s, the airline was among the first to provide seat-back movies to economy customers.
Since then, it has dominated the market, and with 6,500 channels now, it is unquestionably the best in-flight entertainment system available. Emirates allow its passengers to customise their own ice experience prior to their trip by using the Emirates app to browse and pre-select films or TV shows. In fact, these choices can then be synchronised to ice the minute they board. This helps maximise the seamless travel experience!
The airline’s entertainment library features over 1,500 hours of TV, music, podcasts, and audiobooks in 40 languages. Additionally, you can choose over 45 Academy Award-winning films! They even feature five live TV channels featuring news from BBC, CNN, and Sky News Arabia. Not to mention, live sports coverage, Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra.

According to Airlineratings.com Editor-in-Chief Geoffrey Thomas, the Emirates ICE system was praised by all of its editors as being exceptional. Emirates made a wise early investment in in-flight entertainment, and it raised the standard once more!
The airline is currently refitting 110 A380s and 81 777s. Late in 2021, the airline unveiled its new Premium Economy on a few recently delivered A380s. The initial goal was to completely rehabilitate 120 aircraft, including 53 777s and 67 A380s.
Emirates has expanded its major cabin refit plan to include 28 Boeing 777s and 43 A380s. This brings the total number of aircraft to 191! The First Class cabin will be refurbished, and the aircraft will include 24 luxury Economy seats to provide customers with additional luxury alternatives.

Additionally, all new Business Class seats will be introduced with an upgraded 1-2-1 seating layout.
