Due to severe drought, Bengaluru may witness a water crisis in the summer months this year. The receding groundwater levels and low water levels in the city’s reservoirs will pose a major problem in the months to come. An X user from Bengaluru recently shared a video of muddy water flowing out of a tap. Read on to learn more about this.

Muddy Water Comes Out Of Taps In Bangalore Apartment Complex

Dhananjaya Padmanabhachar, a Vice President in an MNC took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a concerning matter. A video shared by him shows muddy water coming out of a tap that is used for drinking in a Bengaluru apartment. In his caption, he alerts the Karnataka Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar, BBMP Chief Commissioner, Tushar Giri Nath IAS to look into the matter. 
The X user asks the dignitaries to look at the quality of water, residents of Sobha Arena Apartment— located on Kanakapura Main Road— are getting for drinking purposes. He demands residents of this apartment complex, receive Cauvery Water. The X user even tagged Sobha apartment, Bangalore City Police, Karnataka Home Buyers Forum and the Chairman of the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board. 

Netizens Sarcastically Call It, “Sambar”, “Tomato Soup” & More

In the video you can witness brown-coloured muddy water flowing out of the tap and into a vessel. The kitchen vessel is filled with dirty water which isn’t fit for cooking or any kind of consumption. Furthermore, Dhananjaya Padmanabhachar shared a slew of pictures and videos shared by residents staying in the apartment. Since then his post has gone viral garnering over 257K views and 800 likes.

An X user commented, “Sambhar through a tap”. To this, Dhananjaya said that he needs to prepare idli to go with the “sambhar”.

Another on witnessing the coloured water flowing in a vessel, sarcastically said, “Good quality tomato soup”. @learn4mtweets said he has noticed a similar situation in in JP Nagar area. Others suggested he clean the tank and urged authorities to take action to sort out this water crisis.
