It’s just September, but with the month of December nearly around the corner, residents in Abu Dhabi are bracing for a slew of entertaining activities and events that will be taking over the emirate. And one of the much-awaited events that’s making its way to Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina, is the iconic Yas Winter Fest.

Yas Winter Fest is a fun-filled five-day fiesta that transforms Yas Island into a winter wonderland. It will be held at Gateway Park South, and the festivities will begin on December 6, which is a Wednesday. As this is a five-day event, it will continue till December 10 and every night there will be fireworks, tree lighting ceremonies, an artificial snow park, and loads of more exciting stuff that are going to leave the visitors awestruck. A great place for your little munchkin, there is a special kids-only zone where they can partake in a soft play area, go bungee jumping or even play on the winter-themed bouncy castles
For this celebration, the park will be divided into several zones, each of which will offer something special for the 5 days. For instance, at Snow Park, you will be able to take a ride on an ice-like slide and dance around in the artificial snow. There is also an area called Santa Land, which lets you write a letter to Santa, decorate ornaments in his workshop, and maybe even keep out for him throughout the event.

And as any fiesta is rather incomplete, without some delicious nibbles, there are going to be several food and beverage outlets that will be posted at the event. Yes, the food offered will include an array of food stalls and trucks that will feature traditional festive fare. And if you are someone who is above 21 years, there is a special zone for you, where you can sip on German hops and warm spiced grape concoctions. And while you’re at it, don’t forget to shop for some unique knick-knacks from the Artisan Market.
If these exciting things sound like the perfect way to kickstart the month of December, then you might want to book your tickets ASAP, as they are already up for grabs. Yes, the early bird tickets start at AED10 for children and they are priced at AED15 for adults. It’s worth mentioning that these tickets are only grand entry to the event.
