Thailand Had Reopened Some Destinations For Foreign Tourists

Besides, the Covid task Force, led by Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Ocha, has decided to extend a nationwide state of emergency to handle the Covid-19 outbreak by two months till the end of May, Chote said. Thailand has taken this move to restart tourism as countries from Australia to the Philippines and Indonesia join nations opening up borders after more than two years.

If you are a Leonardo DiCaprio fan must have watched his famous movie The Beach. The was shot in Thailand’s Maya Bay, which is a beach cove. The good news is that it has started welcoming tourists on January 1, 2022. The place got overcrowded and that destroyed the natural ecosystem of the coral reef. It was forced to shut down in 2018. And while Maya Bay is all set to reopen for tourists, only 300 tourists will be allowed to dock by the cove at any one time. The timings will be between 10 AM to 4 PM each day and each tourist will get a window of one hour to explore it. Apart from Maya Bay, Thailand has also added Krabi, Phang Nga, and Koh Samui to the visa program for vaccinated foreign tourists.
