You Can Soon Sail To Mathura & Vrindavan Via Cruise Service On River Yamuna

Cruise tourism is slowly picking up in India, with Indian travellers eager to go on a Dil Dhadakne Do-like cruise vacation. At the same time, religious tourism is also here to stay. As IRCTC has launched many religious tourism packages to spiritual destinations like Ramayana trail, Sai Baba trail Buddha trail and more. In a bid to continue promoting religious tourism, Mathura and Vrindavan will soon be connected via cruise.

Cruise Service To Ferry Devotees To Mathura & Vrindavan

A report by India Today revealed that Mathura-the birthplace of Lord Krishna and Vrindavan-the place where Lord Krishna spent his childhood, can be visited by pilgrims via cruise. Mathura and Vrindavan nestled in Uttar Pradesh will be connected by a cruise service on the river Yamuna. Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal revealed to India Today that the cruise service will attract tourists visiting Agra to come and visit Mathura as well.

Sonowal also added that Mathura, Vrindavan and Gokul- destinations significant to Lord Krishna, will be connected by developing waterways in the river Yamuna. Pilgrims who are keen to go on a short sojourn to the twin cities of Mathura and Vrindavan can do so hassle-free by hopping on the upcoming cruise. It will be a wonderful way to travel sans traffic.
