Deepinder Goyal Announces Zomato’s New Fleet For Delivering Large Orders

Taking to X, Deepinder Goyal shared pictures of Zomato’s electric fleet which promises to bring delicious food to the doorstep for gatherings of up to 50 people. India’s first large order fleet eliminates the need for multiple delivery partners. Deepinder explains in a thread that earlier, multiple regular fleet delivery partners were needed to execute large orders.
And the customer experience involving large party orders wasn’t what Zomato aspired for. The new vehicles will solve most of the problems faced by customers placing large orders on Zomato. However, the CEO informs that the electric fleet for the same is still a “work in progress.” And Zomato is in the process of adding important enhancements to the vehicles like hot boxes with temperature control and cooling compartments. This will ensure the food ordered will arrive just the way the customer likes.

He ends the thread reminding users of a message penned in his book on Zomato Culture. The food delivery aggregator doesn’t build products and services to make money. Rather, they make money to build better products and services so they can serve their communities better. Launching India’s first large order fleet is one of such endeavours for Deepinder.
Last but not the least, as I said in the book on Zomato Culture (link: https://t.co/4N6TWSEYOJ), we don’t build products and services to make money.
