British Airways is one of the largest aviation companies with active flight operations all over the world. However, for the past four years, the flight operations to Abu Dhabi were suspended, but they have resumed now! Here’s all about the resumed flight operations of British Airways to Abu Dhabi.

On April 21, British Airways’ first flight following a four-year break landed at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi at 9:14 am, resuming a crucial aviation link between London and Abu Dhabi. The list of foreign airlines that operate out of Zayed International Airport is getting bigger with the addition of the Abu Dhabi-London route.

London Heathrow is among the top five airport destinations in terms of quantity of passengers. Moreover, with 290,000 passengers travelling this route in Q1 2024. This new daily route is to accommodate the increasing demand for smooth travel between London and Abu Dhabi.

The managing director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, Elena Sorlini, greeted the airline cordially and stressed the importance of the new daily route in enhancing connectivity and promoting travel and business between the UK and the UAE. She stated that their brand-new, state-of-the-art terminal provides guests with an unmatched gateway experience. Moreover, they will be treated to the best quality of Emirati hospitality.

This New Daily Service To Connect London And Other Locations

Calum Laming, British Airways’ Chief Customer Officer, stated that Abu Dhabi now has a new daily service that connects it to London Heathrow and other locations. It gives their passengers access to yet another fantastic destination on their vast global network and strengthens their ties to the UAE. In fact, the aircraft will be equipped with four cabins to choose from!

He also stated that it is a privilege to be back in the wonderful city and Emirate of Abu Dhabi. He had the good fortune to reside for almost ten years!

Further, British Airways’ weather report system would be replaced with two new and distinctive weather apps.
