Mitchell Brewing Co., a beer company based in Lincolnshire, United Kingdom, was recently forced to shut down its website and disconnect all company phones. This was not because their products were bad but because they were in such high demand. The reason? Their super-creative names! They were selling a beer named after the infamous terrorist, Osama Bin Laden and the beer was called Osama Bin Lager. Before you get offended, the company is supporting a good cause with the beer sales.

According to an article which was recently published by the Hindustan Times or HT, the company is run by a husband and wife duo. If reports are to go by, it seems that the name became an instant hit as soon as it was shared online.
The couple were flooded with requests for this beer. There were some who were on the fence about the title. However, it is important to note that the couple is donating 10 for each barrel of Osama Bin Lager they sell to support the families of the victims of 9/11.
So the couple is supporting a good cause by selling the beer. The couple was afraid that people would take offence to the name but so far, the response has been, if not entirely then, overwhelmingly positive.

This is not the only funnily named beer they have in store for you. There are also two beers named after Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un. The one after the Russian president is called the Putin Porter whereas the one after the North Korean dictator is called Kim Jong Ale.
The tagline of Osama Bin Lager is “It’s explosive.” Another funny tongue-in-cheek. There is also one other funny beer that is not dictator-themed and that is the in-cider! Which one of these would you want to get first?
