The Mumbai Police suspect it to be a case of suicide. They have launched an investigation to know more about Noor Malabika’s death. They have, reportedly, collected samples of medicines and mobile phones from her house and have even ordered an autopsy. However, they have reported that they found no suicide note at her place. Malabika’s parents couldn’t travel to Mumbai due to their age to conduct her last rites. That’s why her friend and actor Aloknath Pathak cremated her body with the help of an NGO.

Seeing the sensitivity and seriousness of the case, the All Indian Cine Workers Association has written an open letter. They have asked Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis to launch a probe into the alleged suicide.
