A women Self Help Group are specializing in Mughlai dishes made from recipes that are 700-yr old in Delhi.

What Is It?

Zaika-e-Nizamuddin (ZeN) is a women Self Help Group supported by Aga Khan Foundation that specializes in recipes from the authentic Mughlai cuisine of the 700-year-old culturally rich Basti Hazrat Nizamuddin.

What’s In It?

The group consists of 11 women chef who stay in Hazrat Nizamuddin itself and run the food service which involves in taking orders and supplying food to the undernourished kids from the basti. The women do homemade preparation with preservative-free meat kebabs and fresh ingredients and cater to a larger audience and individual homes too.

They have the most amazing shami kebabs, biryani, haleem, korma, soya kebabs and khichda.

For desserts, try Khulad Kheer and besan laddoos. Their Chicken Biryani costs ₹300/Kg and ₹150 for Veg Biryani.

All food is prepared in safe and hygienic conditions, in small batches by the women. You’re free to visit their bawarchi-khana anytime and see the delicious food being prepared in live!
