Consuming small portions of food isn’t effective until you consume healthy food. Similarly, a healthy diet shows results when the food items are of good quality and are stored safely before eating them. It is extremely crucial to store, wash, and cook every ingredient properly before preparing a dish. On World Food Safety Day, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) shared some effective hacks to keep food safe.

Here Are Tips For Safe Food, According To FSSAI

Nothing compares to a nutrient-rich diet. From protein to vitamins to carbohydrates, a balance of every nutrient is necessary to maintain good physical and mental health. If you do not take care of food items efficiently, the chances of products rotting early increase. If you wish to keep your food items safe, here are 5 tips shared by FSSAI.

The first step before touching an ingredient is to wash your hands thoroughly. Use soap or handwash to wash your hands before storing, chopping, and cooking food items. Also, take good care of utensils, equipment, and kitchen surfaces. Do not let insects anywhere near the kitchen.

2. Store Properly

Our elders always advise us not to be in a hurry while cooking. Mixing all ingredients and letting everything cook for the required time not only enhances a dish’s taste but is also important to keep food safe. It is mainly significant while preparing recipes using meat, eggs, and fish. Also, ensure to reheat cooked food properly.

4. Maintain Safe Temperature
