Red Sea Global has signed an agreement for a giga-development project worth SAR2 billion. They have done so by signing an investment deal with the Kingdom Holding Co. Under this agreement, they will be developing two new hospitality venues – Thuwal Private and Shura Island. As Shura Island will be located in the main hub of the Red Sea, it will feature 11 world-class hotels and resorts. This will include hotels by big names ranging from Fairmont and Raffles to the Grand Hyatt brands. Not to mention, the island will be one of the 92 archipelagos, which will feature stunning vistas and native flora.
All About Shura Island Coming Up In Saudi Arabia
Shura Island, as mentioned previously, will feature 11 opulent hotels and resorts, which will be by renowned global brands. Expected to open in 2025, the resorts here will be created using lightweight materials. Moreover, in a recent report by Arab News, it was mentioned that Red Sea Global has gotten together with the Kingdom Holding Co. to develop the two hospitality venues.

Interesting Facts About Shura Island
It’s worth noting that the new Shura Island will also feature some exciting facts that you might want to know –
- The Archipelago where this island will be located will be home to the world’s fourth-largest barrier reef system.
- This island is in the shape of a dolphin, naturally.
- It will be connected to the mainland with a 3.3 km crossing that also includes a 1.2 km bridge. This is also the longest internal bridge in Saudi Arabia!
There are several other highlights of this spectacular project. Some of these include the fact that it will boost an 18-hole championship golf course, 118-berth marina, and residential properties. Not to mention, it will offer 149 keys and 31 residential properties along with six restaurants and lounge outlets. There will also be event spaces, a marine discovery centre, and of course a kids for all-season space.
