This beautiful light show takes place at the Shinko Central Square or the Shinko Chuo Hiroba. The light show happens around four times per day and beautifully amalgamates the surrounding trees and buildings with the illuminations of the show.

2. Chinatown, Yokohama

The Yokohama ‘Lantern Festival’ is primarily celebrated in the Chinatown of the city. Named for its beautiful display of a variety of lanterns, this festival is sure to take your breath away. It is best known for its display of the two dancing lantern dragons. One is located on the main street of Chinatown, and, is one of the largest lantern dragons in Japan. The other is relatively smaller and is located at Kanteibyo Street.

3. Yokohama Bay Quarter Christmas

This beautiful Christmas set-up by the Yokohama Bay Quarter will surely take your breath away. Last year, it created its set-up on the theme of ‘Santa Claus’s Garden’. 4. Yokohama Milaight

Presented by the Yokohama Milaight Committee, the Yokohama Milaight is a luscious presentation of lights that stretches from the Yokohama station to Sakura Street. Covering around 1.5 kilometres, this stretch of illumination will transport you to another world.

5. Towers of Minato Mirai

The towers of Minato Mirai light up each year around Christmas time and give the skyline of the city its patented Christmas vibe. A total of 37 office buildings light up each year and this has drawn large crowds because who would miss this once-a-year opportunity? Even the buildings in Yokohama get into the holiday spirit!
