The Queen Elizabeth 2, originally launched as an ocean liner in 1967 and later retired in 2008, holds a prominent spot as a floating hotel since 2018, delightfully berthed at the Mina Rashid marina. With a distinct offering of 447 rooms and suites, diverse dining, and entertainment options, an expansive events centre, and a heritage exhibit delving into maritime history, the QE2 exudes a unique charm.

This temporary closure does pose a challenge to Dubai’s resurging tourism sector, striving to recover from the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dubai has consistently stood as a top travel destination, renowned for its stringent health measures, diverse attractions, and exceptional hospitality.

It is anticipated that the QE2 will swiftly resume its operations once power is restored and weather conditions stabilize, contributing anew to Dubai’s thriving tourism landscape.
