6 International Destinations You Can Fly To From Bengaluru Airport’s T2 Terminal

Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport Terminal 2 (T-2) will soon see new international flights. Soon, many international flights are scheduled to be operated from here by various airlines. Terminal 2 (T-2) of Bengaluru airport started its international operations on September 12, 2023. On 27 airlines, it facilitates 30–35 daily international departures. Of these 27 airlines, 2 are Indian and 25 are international.

1. Male

The national airline of the Maldives, Maldivian, will be operating flights to Male from Bengaluru airport. This new service will begin on October 3, 2023. Every week on Mondays and Thursdays, two flights will be operated on this route. 

The Male-Bengaluru flight will leave from Velana International Airport at 9.30 am and fly down to KIA at 12:05 pm. The flight flying from Bengaluru will leave KIA at 1:05 pm and reach Male at 2:40 pm. 

Maldivian Airlines has been operating two international flights from India ( Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi). 

In the COVID-19 era, the Maldives became one of the most popular destinations. It was also one of the top international destinations from Bengaluru.

2. Munich

German carrier Lufthansa will soon begin direct flights from Bengaluru to Munich. On November 3, these new flights are all set to commence. The airline had plans to commence Bengaluru-Munich direct flights in March 2020 but couldn’t do it because of COVID-19. 

The Airbus A350 will be operating on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, which is three days a week.  (As per The Hindu)

3. Frankfurt

Munich is the second destination in Germany that has direct flights from Bengaluru airport. Lufthansa also connects Bengaluru to Germany’s Frankfurt. There are seven direct flights between Bengaluru and Frankfurt every week. 

4. London

British Airways connects Bengaluru to London every week. There are about seven direct flights per week between Bengaluru and London. 

5. Paris

Bengaluru operates direct flights to the ‘City of Love’, Paris. The airport operates about seven direct flights every week between Paris and Bengaluru. 

6. Amsterdam

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines operates direct flights between Bengaluru and Amsterdam. There are four flights every week. 

Next year, in 2024, Virgin Atlantic will operate another flight to Europe. The new flight service will connect Bengaluru and London with daily services. These daily flight services are slated to start on March 31, 2024 from Bengaluru airport.  (As per The Hindu)
