What Is The Skechers Performance Walkathon?
Skechers Performance has organized this walkathon to celebrate their popular GOWALK category, a range of shoes made especially for walking. After the successful Skechers Performance Mumbai Walkathon last year, the event this year will be again aiming to bring together walkers from different walks of life, all at one big fun, fit event. Popular celebrities like the very talented and versatile actress Taapsee Pannu, singer, model/ former VJ, Anushka Manchanda, Winner of India’s Next Top Model Season 4, Urvi Shetty, talented celebrity influencers Rohan Hingorani, Kate Kristian, Sanaya Pithawalla, Melvin Louis, Nagma Mirajkar and Awez Darbar will be gracing the event and will also be performing a special act for you at the end of the walkathon. You can meet this fantastic line up of influencers and also watch their live performance. So your Sunday would definitely be a happening one. Categories You Can Participate In
Now that you’re all geared up to make your Sunday a healthy, athletic one, here are the following categories you can participate in.
8km Competitive Walk
Experienced walkers! You can participate in an 8 km timed walk conducted for participants aged 18 years and above. This is the most intense form which is specifically conducted for professional walkers. The reporting time for this walk is at 5 am. And the flag off time is 6:45 am. You can register for this walk for ₹500 and receive your kit, which includes T-shirts, Skechers Gift Vouchers, Timing Chip BIB, Medals, Instruction Cards and Refreshments at the event. You can even get the chance of winning the amazing price money starting from ₹7500 for 3rd place, ₹15000 for 2nd place and ₹20,000 for 1st place. Men and women have different prize-winning categories, so everyone has an equal chance to win this 8 km Competitive Walkathon.
5km Power Walk
Aspiring Walkers! Register for the 5 km Power Walk, which is specially designed for people who are interested in taking up walking as a sport. The reporting time for this walk is at 5 am. And the flag off time is 7 am. You can register for this walk for ₹350 and receive your kit, which includes T-shirts, Skechers Gift Vouchers, Participant BIB, Medals, Instruction Cards and Refreshments at the event. People belonging to the age group of 18 years and above, can participate in this 5 km Power Walk.

3km Fun Walk
Family Walkers! Participate in the 3 km Fun Walk conducted to introduce kids to this sport. A walkathon is all the more enjoyable when you walk together with your family. So this form is all about walking in togetherness. This 3km Fun Walk is specially designed for participants above the age of 7 years. The reporting time for this walk is at 5 am. And the flag off time is 7:15 am. You can register for this walk for ₹250 and receive your kit, which includes T-shirts, Skechers Gift Vouchers, Participant BIB, Medals, Instruction Cards and Refreshments at the event. Participants belonging to the age group of 7 years to 14 years, need to be accompanied by an adult. After all, this is a 3 km Fun Walk, and at the end of this walkathon, we’re sure you will realise that a family that walks together, stays together.
