It seems that lately, taking a flight has become nothing less than an adventure. Many passengers report extraordinary or altogether uncommon incidents that take place on flights. Take for instance this latest incident that happened to an Air Transat passenger is sure to surprise you, to say the least. She found fresh blood stains on her seat and what is more, was made to clean it up herself! Read on to learn more about this bizarre incident!
Air Transat Passenger Finds Fresh Blood Stains On Her Seat

Birgit Umaigba Omoruyi, who is a nurse, was flying with Air Transat. Air Transat is an airline based in Canada’s Montreal, a city in Quebec. Omoruyi, in a post made on X (formerly known as Twitter), said that she found fresh blood stains on the seat in front of her. If that wasn’t enough, when she pointed it out to a crew member, they simply handed her wet wipes.
Back in the day my aunt worked for Delta.She was cleaning staff.They decided to discontinue this because there was no time between flights anymore.Disgusting that we get to sit in a damn petri dish because they want to cram as many flights in as they can. Airline industry grr

The part that bothered Omoruyi was that she was only given wet wipes and had she not known better, she would’ve had to clean the stains with her bare hands. However, she had the common sense to ask for a glove and then she cleaned the seat herself. Towards the end of the post, she also said that the airlines should feel free to call her to clean up their flights in future so that such an incident doesn’t happen again.

Many people said that what she went through was disgusting and should not have happened. Netizens urged her to even file a complaint against the airline as well as the crew members. Many people were also taken aback by the rude behaviour of the staff and said that in future, they surely wouldn’t travel with them.

This is not the only incident that happened on the flight that left a bad taste in Omoruyi’s mouth. In a follow-up post, she said that the passengers had to wait for three long hours for the flight to finally take off. Just before the take-off, however, an elderly black lady asked to use the bathroom to which a staff member responded by yelling at her.

Omoruyi said that she was absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of the crew members and said that the airline should treat their passengers better. The delay in the take-off was caused by a hydraulic problem which was resolved after three hours. Many people responded to her post by saying that staff behaved very disrespectfully towards the elderly lady and that it shouldn’t have happened.
