Diwali 2022 is almost here. While some of us are decorating our homes, some of us are planning for a short vacation in the coming Diwali holidays. And, why not? Diwali, Bhai Dooj, Ram Navami, Govardhan Pooja— all these festivals make for a long-extended holiday. Also, according to OYO’s festive season booking data, this year sees 108% more demand for travel than last year.

This Festive Season Indians Are Travelling To Thailand & Singapore

However, this time people are not just going on a vacation to domestic tourist destinations like Goa, Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh. They’re also opting for out-of-India travel. Major travel destinations outside India, witnessing a spike in demand are Thailand, Singapore, Maldives, and Mauritius.

Also, after a two-year hiatus, because of COVID-19  global travel restrictions are finally removed. Thailand removed all major travel restrictions for Indians in September last year. The same was the case with Singapore, which also opened its doors to Indian travellers this year.
