Schengen Visa is among the most sought-after Visas worldwide. According to data provided by SchengenVisaInfo, Slovakia, Greece and Switzerland have a low rejection rate for applicants in general. However, Indians who have applied for Schengen Visa witness the lowest rejection rate in Germany, Iceland and Switzerland. Indian Applications See Low Rejection Rates In Germany, Iceland And Switzerland

According to an article recently published by SchengenVisaInfo, Indians who apply for a Schengen Visa, are generally accepted. According to data from the statistics found, it seems that Germany, Iceland and Switzerland have the lowest rejection rates for Indian applicants. Iceland has the highest acceptance rate for Indian applicants.

It only rejected 5.48 per cent of them. This means that Switzerland only rejected a mere 102 applications. According to the statistics, Germany received a whopping 76,352 applications in 2022 and only 8,615 applications were rejected by it. This means that the rejection rate is merely 11.2 per cent for Indian applicants in Germany.

Switzerland, too, received a total of 106,025 visa applications last year but its rejection rate was only 13.1 per cent! This means that it rejected only 13,984 applications. Switzerland, as per the statistics, has one of the lowest rejection rates for applicants in general. Along with this, Greece and Slovakia also have a low rejection rate for applicants.

Rejection Rates Of Other Countries And Their Statistics

Following is the rejection rate of other countries.

Belarus

Italy rejected 284 applications which was only around 0.78 per cent of the total it received. France rejected 0.59 per cent or 53 of the applications from Belarus. The Czech Republic rejected only six applications from this country whereas Finland didn’t reject any applicants.

China

Finland rejected only 33 requests from this country which brings the rejection rate to 2.59 per cent. Slovakia rejected only four applications which makes the rejection rate 1.79 per cent and Iceland rejected only two applicants which brings the rejection rate per cent to 2.47.

Kazakhstan

Switzerland rejected around 184 applications which makes the rejection rate 6.09 per cent. Estonia rejected 60 Schengen visa applications which makes its rejection rate 6.06 per cent. Italy rejected 5.67 per cent of applications and Greece rejected 2.14 per cent of applications. Surprisingly, no Kazakh applications for a Schengen Visa were rejected by the Netherlands, Norway and Slovakia.

Kosovo

Greece rejected the most applications from Kosovo, totalling 502 or 5.45 per cent of applications.  Italy rejected 4.53 per cent of 183 applications from Kosovo. Slovakia rejected 8.89 per cent of applications which accounted for 12 rejected applications. Lithuania, too, rejected 12 applications which accounted for 0.20 per cent.

Lebanon

16.97 per cent of Lebanese applications were rejected by Switzerland and Greece rejected 11.17 per cent of applicants. Slovakia rejected 10.58 per cent of applications and Slovenia rejected only 1.77 per cent of applicants.
