All the adventure enthusiasts out there! The biggest whitewater Kayaking festival in Asia will be beginning in August amid lush green expanses of Kozhikode in Kerala. The dreamy forest is encircled by mist-clad hills and are are cut by milky-white streams. On these gushing streams, the Malabar River Festival 2022 will take place. The 8th edition of the International Kayaking Competition will happen on the roaring rapids during the festival.

Malabar River Festival 2022 To Take Place Near Thusharagiri Falls In Kozhikode

The Malabar River Festival was first celebrated in 2013. From then onwards, it is celebrated every year in Kozhikode. It will take place in August near Kozhikode’s Thusharagiri falls. Thusharagiri is a spectacular waterfall on river Chalipuzha in Kozhikode. In proximity to the mighty waterfall lies the tallest arch bridge in Kerala. A visit to the waterfalls is an experience in itself. And indulging in kayaking on the vigorous river waters will add more thrill to the experience.

The Festival Is Taking Place After A Halt Of Two Years

As per reports, Malabar River Fest 2022 will begin on August 12. The three-day festival will also have participants from international destinations. The festival could not be conducted in the last two years owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even if you’re not participating in the competition, you can be at the scenic location to witness the best kayakers from the globe wallowing in the activity with expertise.
