The decision to launch ASTC cab services is a major move in the right direction to improve affordability, convenience, and the general commuter experience.
As previously indicated, the addition of PhonePe to the ASTC’s ecosystem brings a multitude of digital payment choices that align with the government of India’s Digital India Initiative, hence augmenting commuters’ and consumers’ convenience.
In addition, the ASTC City Cabs service has a fleet of spotless taxis that are easily reserved using a special smartphone application. In order to make the service completely hassle-free, they are moving forward with the commercial launch by integrating the APP with the PhonePe intent flow, which will allow drivers to pay their dues through any UPI of their choosing at the touch of a button and passengers to pay fares directly to drivers through any preferred UPI.
This will greatly contribute to the development of a quicker digital payment settlement system. ASTC City Cabs is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed three months of providing mobility services to the public in the city of Guwahati.
During the launch, they were even more thrilled to notify everyone that ASTC City Cabs is now offering online taxi booking for all incoming passengers through the post-paid counter/kiosk at LGBI Airport (Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport).
This will undoubtedly make it easier for travellers from other states who may not have the ASTC City Cab app to utilize these services. (As per India Today NE)
