The Minnesota Zoo in the USA is now home to the world’s longest elevated pedestrian loop at 32 feet high, spanning 2 km in length. Named Treetop Trail, it gives visitors a chance to sight animals from a birds-eye view. While the Minnesota Zoo opened on May 22, 1978, it is the first time the zoo has opened such a pedestrian loop. Minnesota Zoo Is Now Home To The World’s Longest Elevated Pedestrian Loop
As you walk along the Treetop Trail AKA the world’s longest elevated pedestrian loop. you can witness zoo animals. The zoo has moose, camels, bison and even tigers from 32 feet above. Breathe in the fresh air as you stroll through ponds, marshes and the hardwood forest.

According to a report by TimeOut, this new elevated loop is integrated into the Zoo’s now-retired, monorail track. The trail is specially-abled and friendly and welcomes visitors of all ages. Witness amazing views of the lush greens and resident wildlife. Twitteratis took to the social media platform to share pictures of themselves exploring the Treetop trail.

Minnesota Zoo took to its Twitter handle to thank the donors, supporters and members who made this trail possible. Lt.Governor Peggy Flanagan stopped by on the opening day and even declared it as Minnesota Zoo Treetop Trail Day! Opened on July 28, on World Nature Conservation Day the world’s longest elevated pedestrian loop aims to connect people, animals and the forest.

John Frawley, the Minnesota Zoo Director revealed to TimeOut that this trail will offer an accessible and immersive pathway to people of all ages and communities. He goes on to add that in the past 45 days, the Minnesota Zoo has already done a great job in connecting visitors and the animals. And the Treetop Trail will only elevate the Minnesota Zoo experience.
