Atlantis, The Palm Launches Free Underwater Fitness Classes

After a mesmerizing underwater yoga session, Atlantis The Palm is back with yet another underwater workout. This time its a good, full body stretch. Atlantis, The Palm along with Topstretching brings to residents the first underwater stretching class, which you can attend from the comfort of your home.

What’s It?

Enjoy a rejuvenating session of underwater stretching from the comfort of your home. The classes start from 3 June and will be held in the Lost Chambers Aquarium from 8am to 9am, daily. You can live stream the session for free via the @atlantisthepalm Instagram page.

The session is spearheaded by coach Adelina Lazarova, so you can expect some good bending and crunching. The one hour session combines a series of postures, breathing exercises and relaxation of body tension, in a calm sequence. And if that’s not exciting enough, the classes will be held against the backdrop of Middle East’s largest aquarium- The Ambassador Lagoon. That also means you can gaze at rays, sharks and fish swim past you while you stretch and breathe. Sounds better than a gym for sure!

The fitness class kicks off with stretching on 3 June and will be followed by a host of other exercises with different focuses. If you missed the session today, tune in for a fun session on strength and flexibility on 10 June or a full-body stretching with Topbody on 17 June. There’s also an exclusive session to ease back aches (much needed for those who work from home) on 24 June.

What Else?

Meanwhile, did you know the Lost Chambers is now open to the public? Guests residing at the Atlantis can visit the aquarium for free from 10am to 9pm. Residents can visit the place by paying an entry fee of AED 60 for adults and AED 40 for kids above 12 years of age. The entry ticket for non-residents is priced at AED 90 for adults and AED 50 for children above 12.
