After the inauguration on January 22, 2024, we saw lakhs of devotees visiting the temple every day. From kids to young people to adults to even elderly devotees, people of all ages and from different places are planning trips to Ayodhya to visit the Ram Mandir and explore the city. As expected, the temple inauguration has been proven as a spectacular boost to promote, strengthen, and enhance the tourist sector and economy of this city in Uttar Pradesh.
Ram Mandir also has a huge role to play in improving Ayodhya’s per capita income along with contributing well to the GDP of Uttar Pradesh. With more tourists heading to Ayodhya, hotels, restaurants, and the hospitality sector are doing great business. According to a report by India Today, more than 2 lakh people are reportedly arriving in the holy city each day.
Local shopkeepers are seeing a rise in their daily income with more and more travellers shopping from these shops. One of the best parts is how every person involved with the tourism sector and providing various services to visitors, from flower sellers to craftsmen, is registering a rise in income by at least thrice or four times. With each passing day, demand for hotels and accommodations is surging too. In fact, the property costs are seeing an uptick by 7 to 8 times as well. It is good to see that economic development is boosting among everyone.
