Cairo Food Week aims to serve as a forum for culinary innovation and cross-cultural interaction in addition to several intimate lunch and supper events. This year’s stimulating conversations focus on preserving delicate food ecosystems, honouring Arab culinary traditions, and combining foreign cooking methods with regional products.

Chef Virgilio Martinez of Central, which is projected to be the world’s best restaurant in 2023, will be speaking at a panel discussion and exhibition at the Grand Egyptian Museum on May 10th regarding the value of capturing and conserving culture via food and art. On the other hand, the Downtown Cairo neighbourhood is hosting the “When We Eat Downtown Market” on May 11th in collaboration with Al Ismaelia for Real Estate and Investment.
