Bangalore famously known as the Garden City is home to a number of lush green gardens. The most famous one is Lalbagh Botanical Garden which hosts a floral extravaganza every Independence Day and Republic Day. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Lal Bagh cancelled its famous flower show for the past two years. But this year to celebrate India’s 75th  Independence the flower show is back and how! Lal Bagh Flower Show Dedicated To Dr Rajkumar & Puneeth Rajkumar

Lal Bagh is hosting its much-awaited flower show for India’s 75th Independence Day with much pomp and show. This year the flower show is a tribute to Karnataka’s legendary superstars Dr Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar. According to The News Minute,  the 10-day flower show will have floral installations of Dr Rajkumar’s residence in Gajanuru and Puneeth Rajkumar’s rehabilitation facility, Shakti Dhama. They will be decorated with chrysanthemums and roses.

Must-See Event This Independence Day

The flower show is a ticketed event. Adults must pay ₹70 per person on weekdays and  ₹75 per person on weekends. For children, it’s priced at ₹20 and free if they’re wearing school uniforms. The flower show this year will boast 60 varieties of native flowers and 50 varieties of global flowers. Visitors can witness breathtaking floral installations of tulips, hypericum berry, hydrangea and more. The flower show is expected to attract over 15 lakh people.
