It’s time to holiday in the Kerala backwaters! Air India Express will soon be launching a Sharjah-Surat route, and will also expand services from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi to Kannur.

What’s It?

Air India, India’s biggest budget airline has decided to reduce airfare between UAE and India after a customer complained about the high airfares from the recently opened Kannur airport. After considering the passenger’s complaint, Air India Express has slashed prices by increasing the Kannu- Sharjah service to a daily service from the present four weekly flights.

Additional flights will also be launched to other GCC sectors including Kannur-Muscat, Kannur-Kuwait via Bahrain, Kannur-Doha, and Kozhikode-Riyadh.

The airline is also set to launch the first international service from Sharjah to Surat starting February 16, 2019. Scheduled on Mondays and Saturdays, flight IX- 172 will depart from Sharjah at 7.35 pm and arrive in Surat at 11.45.
