A humble bus conductor in Navi Mumbai restored a bag containing ₹40,000 to its rightful owner, and along with it, our faith in humanity as well.

Nilesh Gavkar, who is a humble bus conductor in Navi Mumbai, recently won the hearts of many with a kind deed that he did. Gavkar was working on the bus on route 82 of Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport or NMMT. This bus travels from the Diva Railway Station to the Vashi Bus stand.
On the 28th of February, Gavkar noticed that there was an abandoned bag in the bus even though the bus was at its final destination. The bag in question contained ₹40,000 and other valuables and belonged to a woman who accidentally forgot it on the bus.
On finding the bag, Gavkar traced the owner of the bag and returned it to her with all the items as they were. This kind little deed won the hearts of all those who heard it.

The fact that Gavkar honestly returned the bag of money and other valuables to its rightful owner won the hearts of many people. He received a lot of praise for being honest and non-avaricious.
An official from the NMMT said that it was relatively easy for Gavkar to trace the owner since she hadn’t gone far from the bus. He was lauded for his noble deed. By returning the bag to its rightful owner, Gavkar became proof that there is still good in this world.
