Business Class Travellers Of Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail Can Now Access Premium Lounges

Officials at the National Capital Region Transport Corporation announced that passengers in Business class travelling between Delhi and Meerut on the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) will now be able to access premium lounges. They also informed that a dedicated entrance will be available at each high-speed rail station’s platform, from where the passengers can board the train’s premium lounge directly.

India’s First RRTC

India’s first RRTC which is a railroad-based, high-speed, high-frequency regional commuter transit system is being built between Delhi and Meerut by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Its design speed is 180kmph and its operating speed is 160kmph, making it one of the fastest trains in India. Every train will have a premium coach and the fares for the business or premium class will be higher than those for the regular class. Business-class facilities will be available in a premium lounge, similar to the lounges at airports.
