PM Modi Flies Drone During India’s Biggest Drone Festival In Delhi 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s biggest drone festival, Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022 at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan. The purpose of this two-day festival is to strengthen India’s presence in the sector by bringing key stakeholders together including StartUps. PM Modi not only witnessed the open-air drone demonstrations but also tried his hand at flying a drone himself. 

India – A Drone Hub By 2030

PM Narendra Modi flew a drone by Banglore based drone company during the open-air demonstrations moments after the inauguration of the two-day event took place. The drone that PM Modi piloted was a product of a Bangalore based drone company, Asteria Aerospace Limited. 150 remote pilot certificates were launched by the prime minister and also states that India will surely become a drone hub by the year 2030.

 Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022

A total of 1600 invitees, including government officials, foreign diplomats, members of the armed forces, companies and drone startups are attending the festival. The number of exhibitors displaying various use cases of drones is more than 70 at the exhibition. The Drone Mahotsav is witnessing some special segments like drone pilot certificates,  display of a Made in India Drone Taxi prototype, product launches, panel discussions, flying demonstrations and so on.
