A Persian settler is the originator of the restaurant and they are known to serve generous amounts of food. Just a heads up on their meal quantities so that you avoid ordering excess food. Let’s get to their Hyderabadi Biryani (Rs 290) that’s not only the talk of town but also attracts quite a large fan-following across the country. You can also ask for double masala in yours and they’ll happily oblige. The meat pieces are well cooked and the coated spices cook it to perfection — falling off the bone perfection. Also extremely popular for its Haleem, Ramadan is a great time to taste another Cafe Bahar delicacy. For wider biryani cravings, we’d suggest you go for their classic Mutton Biryani (Rs 290) or the Chicken Biryani (Rs 270) which they cook ‘dum’ style. The charcoal adds a layer of flavor that’s heightened and hard to resist. They also serve the Ramadan classic, Chicken 65 (Rs 110) and we don’t need to mention, but it’s pretty darn good too.
