There is something magical about Ras Al Khaimah’s Longbeach Campground especially as the temperature cools off. Team Curly Tales Dubai recently visited this unique campsite and stayed at a Panoramic Dome Suite. Here’s how our stay panned out.
Camping At Longbeach
Longbeach Campground is a beachfront location where traditional old tents have been given a modern and chic twist. Featuring fully furnished deluxe tents, family tents, prism balcony tents, safari suite tents and panoramic dome suite tents, the campground offers 5 categories for you to choose from.
1. Authentic Deluxe Tent
The authentic deluxe tents are truly a home-away-from-home. The tents are made of material that perfectly suits the Gulf weather, protecting you from the harsh sun or winds. The deluxe tent is equipped with comfortable king-sized beds, outdoor furniture and cozy decor.
2. Authentic Family Tents
As the name says it, these authentic family beachfront tents are designed for an exciting family staycation. The tents are equipped with outdoor camping chairs, king-sized beds, while offering uninterrupted views of the beachfront.
3. Prism Balcony Tent
These tents are perfect for a weekend getaway with family or friends. Apart from a comfortable bedroom, the Prism tents also offer a private balcony for uninterrupted views of the sea and sunset.
4. Safari Suite Tent
Add a dose of glamour to your camping with Longbeach campground’s Safari Suite tents. Each tent comes with a private patio, on an elevated wooden decking- letting you make the most of the outdoors. The tents are equipped with comfortable beds, and a couple of Ac’s. In addition, you also get a private bathroom complete with modern amenities.
5. Panoramic Dome Suite Tent
The Panoramic dome suites are Hexagon in shape and offers a transparent panoramic view of the beachfront. The bedroom is spacious and fully equipped with comfortable king-sized beds, outdoor furniture, a private bathroom and a hot tub complete with modern amenities. The best part of the panoramic tent is that each of the Dome Suite have an elevated floor base, offering stunning views of the camping site.
We stayed at the panoramic dome suite and the experience was simply breathtaking. The views outside our suite, the amenities and the private patio allowed us to camp amidst complete luxury. That’s not all! The super-comfortable rooms aside, the camping site also offers a whole lot of activities to keep yourself busy through the day.

Day 1

An Evening By The Beach
Kick start your holiday with fun games on the beach. Sports enthusiasts can indulge in outdoor activities like beach volleyball, tennis and badminton. Get more adventurous and go kayaking, fly kites or challenge your friends to a stand-up paddle race. You could also choose to stay indoors, and play a whole host of board games.
Hone Your Creative Skills
Refresh and rejuvenate with unlimited soft beverages and get set for some fun activities. Art lovers can try hand embroidery, Kalimba or get crafty at the pottery session and take home your own creation. Meanwhile, kids can dash and splash with sea scooters, register for karate sessions or watch an animated movie at the kids’ club.
Sundowner & BBQ Dinner by the Beach
As the sun sets, head over to the swim-up bar or chill beside a bonfire, amidst the stunning backdrop. The bar serves quirky cocktails and also has an outdoor dining area where the chef prepares a lip-smacking BBQ dinner with live cooking stations.
Watch A Film As You Float
This has got to be the best part of the camp! Longbeach campground is home to a one-of-its-kind floating theatre, docked right in the middle of the sea. The theatre is constructed at an elevated level, on the water along with a huge screen in front. Get a comfortable spot, grab some popcorns and seal the day with your favorite blockbuster under the stars.
Day 2
Mornings by The Beach
Fitness freaks don’t have to worry about skipping gym, when at Longbeach! The campground has it all to give you an active start to the day. Kickstart your day with a holistic sunrise yoga session by the beach or take a dip in the infinity pool. The camp also has an outdoor spa and sauna for those who’d like to unwind and de-stress. Head over for a sumptuous breakfast by the beach with live cooking stations, and recharge yourselves for yet another packed day.
Kids’ Day Out
Older kids can participate in painting competitions, egg hunting, or try their hands at cooking while the younger ones can spend a day in the petting zoo, build castles or go on pony rides.
