New York City is now home to an immersive Barbie-themed pop-up, Malibu Barbie Cafe, opening doors to fans on May 17. At this cafe, everyone can live out their childhood dreams of stepping into Barbie-world. “Come on Barbie, let’s go party”, where? At Malibu Barbie Cafe of course? With pink interiors, photo-ops and a life-sized doll house, all you need to do is dress up in your more fashionable pink attire and show up stylishly!

Just like the name suggests, Malibu Barbie Cafe has a fun beach theme. It looks pretty much like a cool place you’d find Barbie hanging with Ken and her friends Midge and Skipper. There’s a massive sand castle with bright pink beach chairs next to it, so you can click Instagrammable pics with your gal pals. Of course, how can you miss out on Barbie dolls? You’d find Barbie and Ken dolls flaunting their swimsuit bods from a glass cabinet at the cool cafe.

MasterChef USA Finalist Curated-Menu, Doll House, Pink Food & More!
When it comes to the food. MasterChef USA season 3 finalist, Becky Brown has curated the menu at the cafe. You can expect to gorge on cheesy burgers, a beautiful-looking bowl of parfait, classic California coastal dishes like a beachside breakfast burrito and even hummus. The dishes are beautifully presented and of course, have shades of bright pink thanks to beetroot and fresh raspberries.

There’s also a great line-up for beach cocktails like the Beach Mojito, Think Pink Margarita and more. According to a TimeOut report, visitors can soak in the 1970s California vibes here with beach motifs, retro glam and popping, punchy Barbie colours. The cafe pays tribute to a thunderous decade where Barbie slayed (and still does).
