The Janmashtami celebration at ISKCON Temple in Ahmedabad always hits different. Thakar Prem (@oyy_its_prak) took to his social media handle to give glimpse of the decoration. To celebrate Lord Krishna’s birth, the temple is beautifully decorated with flowers, including designs inspired by peacocks. The colourful lights make the temple look even more stunning- and why not? It is one of the biggest Janmashtami celebrations in the city. When you visit, you’ll also find people dancing and singing in Krishna bhakti.

At the iconic Krishna Janmasthan Temple in Mathura, the Janmashtami celebration began with the Mangala Aarti. Before the aarti, the panditji removed the cover in front of the idols, revealing them to devotees. The Mangala Aarti is performed during the early hours before sunrise.

Not only temples, but even artists are also celebrating Janmashtami in their creative ways. One such artist who left us in surprise is sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik. At Puri Beach in Odisha, the artist created a beautiful sand sculpture of Lord Krishna. The sculpture featured Lord Krishna surrounded by makhan.
4. Highest Pyramid For Matki Phod
On the occasion of Janmashtami, Surat has brought a fun challenge for people. A competition has been announced at Bhagal Char Rasta, where five teams will take part in a matki phod challenge. The team that forms the highest pyramid and breaks the matki will win ₹61,000.

In societies, Janmashtami celebrations are on another level! Parents are dressing up their little ones as Lord Krishna to celebrate the birth of the beloved God. The children are then placed in small baskets, recreating the adorable sight of baby Krishna.

This Janmashtami, Instamart gave a giant matki filled with makhan a full VVIP treatment! A 10-SUV convoy escorted the matki through Mumbai’s streets, turning heads everywhere. It’s definitely one of the most unique scenes and a highlight of Mumbai’s Janmashtami celebrations.
