It was a normal day at her Mohali home for Dr Shivangi Joshi as she was receiving the items she had ordered online from a delivery agent. While she was at the gate, a pan on the gas stove in the kitchen began to smoke and suddenly caught fire. After heading back inside, Shivangi noticed the fire. She panicked and was unsure how to control the blaze safely. Hearing the commotion, the delivery agent stepped inside the home and rushed to the kitchen.
He took a cloth to smother the flames and then turned off the gas supply, which helped prevent a possible explosion. Dr Shivangi Joshi shared the terrifying footage recorded on her home’s CCTV camera on Instagram. She thanked the delivery agent and wrote, “He (delivery agent) just came in and usne bina soche meri help ki aur mujhe yaad dilaya ki insaaniyat aaj bhi zinda hai.”

Dr Shivangi Joshi Calls Delivery Agent Her “Saviour”
Shivangi also mentioned that sometimes we judge people by their appearance, profession and work. But the truth is that a profession cannot define the courage and humanity you show towards others. She called the delivery agent her “saviour” and appreciated his selflessness. The post ended with the lines that said, “I may not have the perfect words to thank him, but I will always remember what he did. Some people deliver parcels. Some people deliver hope when you need it the most.”
The whole internet applauded the man for his presence of mind and bravery and called him a “hero.” One user wrote, “The man handled it like a pro.” While another commented, “Blessings to the delivery agent and your home.” A third user even wrote, “That’s your guardian angel.”
