Yas Island is located just 10 minutes away from Abu Dhabi airport. So, we just pinned the location on our maps and headed down. Here, there are three amazing theme parks, the Yas Marina Circuit and the Yas Marina Circuit. First on our list is the Ferrari World. Let’s roll!
Day 1: Ferrari World
One a virtual tour to the Yas Island, one must kick off with the world’s first Ferrari branded theme park! When the champions of Italian motoring get involved, you can experience nothing but the best. The world’s first Ferrari-branded theme park in the world, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi boasts over 39 incredible rides and attractions. The theme park is also home to the world’s fastest rollercoaster- Formula Rossa. The ride scales a height of 52 metres and accelerates from 0km/h to 240km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Come on, let’s get our adrenaline pumping at Formula Rossa.
If you’re up for a little more adventure, try the Flying Aces! And finally, a trip to Ferrari World is incomplete without getting up close and personal with Ferrari’s iconic car collection. So make sure you add that to your bucket list!
Once you’re done with the adrenaline rush, its now time for some more fun. No, we’re not going on any more rides, but this time we’re going to experience to get behind the wheels & feel like a racer. Let’s head to Yas Marina Circuit! This is where all those Formula 1 dreams come alive. Yas Marina Circuit is the only place in the world where you can get a first-hand F1 experience, and feel the adrenaline rush just like a racer. The track spans 1.2km and has 21 twisting turns, encircling the W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island hotel before heading back to the finish line.
This one’s literally a dream come true and you will actually want to pinch yourself to be sure you’re not dreaming. But the fun does not end here! If you wish to hone your skills, enroll yourself at the school and learn what it takes to become a race car driver.
And lastly, cool down your heart rate with a splash at the Yas Beach. Complete your experience by dining in an outdoor cafe along the Yas Marina. Binge on delectable Italian cuisine or opt for some grilled sea food. End your day with a gorgeous sunset and a stroll along the promenade.
Day 2
It’s a new day which calls for alot of new places to explore. Let’s commence this day with some more fun and thrill. You haven’t been to a waterpark until you’ve been to Yas Waterworld! From free-fall waterslides, to surfing, and over 40 exhilarating rides, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi boasts a massive water playground, offering a little something for all age groups.
Brave your way through the swift turns on the Slither slide before you finally drop into a tunnel illuminated by tiny lights. Also try the Bandit Bomber, a 550–metre coaster, that offers onboard water and laser effects. Riders can shoot jets of water at targets, drop water bombs and trigger special effects, while people below can spray them with water as they pass. If you’re not up for thrill, and wish to laze around, surrender to the gentle ebb and flow of Amwaj – the wave pool.
After a dose of adventure, you can also relive your childhood days at Warner Brothers, Abu Dhabi. Warner Bros. World, Abu Dhabi makes fiction look real, feel real, and sound real. The theme park brings together six unique worlds, home to legendary characters such as Batman and Superman.
Join The Flintstones, Fred, and Wilma along with the rest of the clan in their Stonetennial Celebration, or climb aboard iconic cartoon vehicles and enjoy a colourful carousel ride with your favorite classic characters from Loony Tunes and Hanna-Barbera. If you’re up for some chaos, join the hilarious cartoon duo- Tom & Jerry on their cheese chase.
Adventure enthusiasts can take on a series of challenges at the Joker’s Funhouse while Superman fans can engage in a pulse-pounding 3D battle.
And finally, end your trip with a luxury meal at Asha’s. The restaurant is named after the popular Indian singer Asha Bhosle and is known for its delectable Indian food. Soak in the rustic ambience and enjoy a delicious meal along with some old classics. Binge on pressure cooker mutton curry, or try the Palak chaat. The menu also has a delectable non-veg platter, in case you’re a big fan. End your meal on a sweet note with a ginger creme Brûlée.
